OUR TEAM
Dr. Douglas F. Chitsey, D.D.S
Dentist
For over 25 years, I have been providing dental care to the San Angelo community. I'm proud to be able to serve local families, and the relationships formed over the years are one of the best parts of my job. My goal is to provide excellent care while making sure patients feel comfortable while in the office.
I was born and raised in Colorado City, Texas, and went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin for my undergraduate education. I then earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UT's Health Science Center at San Antonio. After graduation, I moved to San Angelo to begin my dental career. I am married with four kids, and in my free time, I enjoy playing golf, watching UT football, and spending time with my family.

Marissa Villareal
Registered Dental Assistant
Hi, I'm Marissa! I've been with Dr. Chitsey since March of 2022 and this office has quickly become a home to me. I am a mommy to a handsome 7-year-old boy and a beautiful 3-year-old girl. I love working out, country music and spending time with family and friends. I went to Registered Dental Assisting school in Lubbock, Texas and graduated in 2019. I love working in the dental industry, it's always been a passion of mine. My favorite part of my job is meeting new patients and helping them with their oral hygiene.
Halie James
Dental Hygienist
Hey y’all! I’m Halie. I joined Dr Chitsey’s dental team in August, 2016. I’m a local gal who grew up and went to school in Wall. I graduated from Howard College in Big Spring with my associates degree in Applied Science - Dental Hygiene in 2016. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends, my family and my husband, Aaron and our precious sons, Braxton and Bennett. I love anything involving being outdoors; hunting, fishing, kayaking, swimming, sports, you name it! Having come from a large close knit family, I greatly enjoy working with and teaching kids. Having worked as a dental assistant for 3 years before becoming a dental hygienist I believe has helped me provide my patients with knowledge about their dental health care and treatments. My goal is to provide quality care and education to all of my patients while providing prevention dentistry with routine cleanings.
Miranda Stewart
Dental Hygienist
My name is Miranda Stewart. I graduated with honors from Wall High School in 2007 and then attended Wharton County Junior College where I completed the dental hygiene program in 2010. My husband and I returned to San Angelo in 2014, where we now reside with our beautiful daughter. In the years that I have been a hygienist, I have enjoyed every aspect of my career. I find great joy in getting to know the patients on a personal level. This developed relationship relaxes the patient and allows them to be comfortable every time they come to see us. I was voted most friendly in my class at Wall High School, and I use this trait to help my patients enjoy the time we spend together during their dental experience. By promoting oral hygiene care, I'm promoting overall wellness. I hope to be able to meet you soon!
Teena Hernandez
Dental Hygienist
I am born and raised here in San Angelo. Started here at ASU and received my degree in Dental hygiene from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi. I am married and have two children who I love raising here in San Angelo. I have practiced hygiene since 2000 and enjoy what I do. I love meeting new patients and continuing relationships with long-term patients, all while helping them maintain their oral health. In our practice I update health history, take radiographs and perform hygiene services. I want to help educate patients and teach them how to keep their mouths as healthy as possible.

I've worked Front Desk, Office Manager, Registered Dental Assistant, both in office and in hospital operating rooms. I've worked in all specialty areas of Dentistry. I'm a good team player, both as a leader and a follower, and have loved every minute of my 25+ years in this field. I love being in the outdoors with my family, camping, cooking, sewing, helping others out, and mainly going to church and reading the bible.
